you don't pay to enter in many nightclubs, you just have to register in their guestlists. But the price of a drink inside were like a shock to me! For groceries try Mercadona, Carrefour or Lidl. Dia is also cheap but lacks to much in quality. As for telephone use Yoigo

It's not that different from Porto, Portugal. Taxes are lower than in Portugal, so the prices are kind of balanced

In Germany at most Universities you get a ticket that you can use free the buses and the trains of the city. Here you have to buy the tickets which cost between 3700 pts and 6200 a month for one or two zones. Sometimes you have to buy additional tickets.

Good courses organized by the Generalitat de Catalunia, and very cheap; houses: avoid people living on that: try to share your places with someone who is not making moneybon renting out rooms;

The hausing in Barcelona is very expensive beacues of lack of spasc for all students- the naightlife is more expensive in total-what i mean is that you go-out so oftent that total sum spent is higher

The only way to save money is to buy food in cheap chain-stores (El Dia, Lidl) these are really cheap

I spent more because in Ireland I live at home with my parents and in Barcelona I obvioulsy had to fend for myself.Overall everything is cheaper than in Ireland but because an Erasmus year is enjoyable you go out more and socialize more, travel more etc.

In general Spain is cheaper than Belgium but , Barcelona is not Spain, it is a big cosmopolitan where everything ( except food ) is about the same as home.

Wait until you get the bill of the water you spent in your flat ! It is exremely expensive !
