At first, when I arrived in Madrid I felt a little not at ease when talking to native speakers. I even did not have the courage to talk only when it was compulsory. After the second day I started to feel confident and talk fluently and without any fear..the most helpful experience in learning a foreign language is to live among her native speakers for a while, to interact as much as possible and not to be afraid of making mistakes when you talk. Who does not make mistakes does not learn :)

When I think of my time passed at the University in Madrid I consider the most useful and beautiful period during my academic years .....a personal regreet is that I travelled too little - so this is my advice: travel a lot, you can do it even without too much money ...nothing compares to the personal experience gained by travelling!

The only cost saving is the recommendation to buy a ten travel metro ticket than a single one. You save a lot!

It was a very warm, friendful and cosy atmosphere where I lived. I do not remember anything that troubled me at that time regarding the housing. Excellent conditions!

It was and I think it is a place I loved at the first sight "Los Gabrieles". I remember even the street _ Echegaray- a place where one can listen to the live flamenco shows. Best Cafes? I do not remember the name - but the place ...oh, yes!A place where you can drink the mejor cafe in the city (a native showed me the place), a cafe visited by the "literary" world of Madrid.And, as a recommendation is a cathedral at the outskirts of the city, where Goya - the spanish painter is buried - that little church almost un-noticeable if you do not know the address has something of the "unique" which the well known and too visited places had been stolen by the tourists
