rent was a little bit higher than expected. for saving money you have to elect the company of your mobile phone or your internet conection very carefully - there are quite some diferences
there is no need for stress - the first days of searching for flats and arranging all "paper-stuff" can be annyoing and dificult - but mostly it turns out well. there is no need for stress.

A spanish course at the faculty "de las letras" is maybe one of the best things you can do - you will get to know the mentality a bit better and you for sure will meet a lot of Erasmus-students which will turn into your furture friend or flat-mates- Normally also a lot of meeting-points for going out are arranged.

Cádiz - the best you can chosse!
Travelling in Andalucia is really fascinating! A trip to Portugal is also a trip you shouldn't miss.
It's recommended to rent cars and travel with a group of persons. Rent the cars via Internet - a lot cheaper (approx. 120€ for a week)

There are no other possibilities in Cádiz then to search flat or a room yourself. Mostly Eramus-students share flats, but also sharing flats with spanish students is posible.

Playa St.Victoria is the center of all surfers and kyte-surfers. The center is full of small tapas-bars (best: Veedor, Gotinga, Garbanzo Negro,...) For night life bars in the citycenter are recomended ( Nahoo, UMEC ) After 3am all people go to "la punta" as a center of going out and dancing!
For taking a coffee or having a short break I can recomend "plaza de la cadetral" and it's cafes. For the a quick meal you can go to "el refugio" en la calle benyumeda - there you find the best bocadillos of town.
