Universidad de Córdoba (UCO)

The university had no own campus, but the tutors(Spanish students) helped us to find some appartment. This was very good arranged. Within 1 day I had an appartment which I had to share with two other persons.

Cordoba is a small town. It has got two main night clubs. These are Zaira and Qu. I personnaly prefered little dancing bars in the neighbourhood "Ciudad Jardin". A lot of Spanish music and the dribks are very cheap. Women always go in for free. Another tipical thing about the Cordoban night life is the "Botellones". A botellon means that all the youth(including exchange students) go and buy some liquors in a night shop and then they meet each other in certain streets, where they stay until 2-3 o'clock in the morning. This is really nice on a warm summer night.

Be open for the local people and culture. In my opinion you have not been in a foreign country when you did not get to learn the culture.

Take you own bank account with a Spanish bank and buy special telephone card to phone abroad. Please do not forget to bring your identification card of being student. They give you many reductions.

In the beginning it was very difficult to communicate and to understand the courses. After 2 or 3 months, everything went better. At the end, I did not have difficulties anymore in any area.
