En términos generales, positivo

Overall

- don't choose just the courses from Economics... attend also courses in the main university!!! :) because the real student-life-feeling is just there.. the university of economics.. isn't very big and the building is very ... spartanous and ugly?!... the old and interesting one is the main university!!! :)

- travel tips: I prefered the train to travel around.. cities you have to visit: GRANADA;CADIZ;CORDOBA;MALAGA;RONDA... and the most beautiful beaches are in the area of CADIZ!! - helpful advice: health: if you don't need first aid or it isn't another emergency case.. you just need something against headache or other "small" health problems.. don't go to the medicine centers.. you have to do a lot of administrative things and to wait for a long time to get an appointment.. just go to the next pharmacy.. they help you like a real doctor!

Housing
Type of housing: With a family
Arranged by: Home university
If returning, I would choose: Apartment/House
Why?
When I first got there, I lived w/a single woman who was very nice. But I did not like the accomodations or feeling like I had to be home for all meals or call if I wasn't going to be there. I felt like my freedom was a bit restricted. A couple of people I was on the program with like living w/their families, though. I saw their accomodations-they were better than mine.

I moved out of the Senora's apartment and looked for my own apartment 2 weeks into my time there. I wish I had spent more time apt. hunting b/c I was not in a good location. But I did enjoy the people I lived with. They were from all over-one was Dutch/Italian, one was Spanish, one was Swedish, and one was from New York. I was the only female there w/a bunch of guys for most of the time, but it was not a problem at all. Nobody was actually home a lot of time anyway.

Course recommendations
I took all of my course at the actually university. I took two courses under Cursos para extranjeros which is the closest you will get to taking courses with regular spanish students if your spanish level isnt high enough. you take these courses with other americans and its in spanish taught by professors from the univeristy. I also enrolled in 2 regualr university courses with spanish students. If your level of spanish is very advanced they are very worthyour time. be prepared to do no work all semester and then study like hell to take exams. The classes arent hard as most people said. You just need to keep on top of independant reading. I did all the reading int eh last month of school i was ok.

Personal recommendation
The general provision of academic resources was extremely poor at the university. The books available in business library were very dated and limited in numbers, and Internet and computer access were almost non-existent. I would recommend, therefore, that the Universidad de Sevilla directs more resources towards this vital aspect of college life.

In summation, spending time studying at the Universidad de Sevilla was a very rewarding experience, both academically and socially. As with all things in life, however, you will only get out of it what you are prepared to put in, so go on, immerse yourself in the experience- it's second to none!
