Universidad de Sevilla (US)

I have choosen Sevilla (Spain) to improve my knowledge, but also because it's an obligatory part of my studies.. At the beginning I had some difficulties.. because I wasn't used to speak spanish, to use it in the everyday context, but more and more I was improving it.. that was the most great experience.. to see how I was able to communicate in another language, in another city... at the beginning I didn't know anyone.. but I coped very well... :) at the end of my stay in Sevilla, I had a lot of spanish friends (I'm in contact with them!) and I wasn't afraid at all to handle all things (my everyday life, academic life..) I was able to communicate, to handle every situation!

- travel tips: I prefered the train to travel around.. cities you have to visit: GRANADA;CADIZ;CORDOBA;MALAGA;RONDA... and the most beautiful beaches are in the area of CADIZ!! - helpful advice: health: if you don't need first aid or it isn't another emergency case.. you just need something against headache or other "small" health problems.. don't go to the medicine centers.. you have to do a lot of administrative things and to wait for a long time to get an appointment.. just go to the next pharmacy.. they help you like a real doctor!

- there is a little difference to Austria: the food or going out for dinner is cheaper.. :) - cost-saving-tips: Don't go shopping too often :) because if you do, you would pay too much money for overweight-luggage!!!!!!

I found my residence in the Internet.. she was a spanish girl, from Sevilla, so I liked this aspect.. she introduced me in her city and country.. I was introduced in her life..with her friends and family.. that was great! It was a room in a flat (in HER flat.. that was the only disadvantage.. she was the "boss"!!) and we lived together with her boyfriend.. the flat was quite big and comfortable.. very clean!! we had all... kitchen+equipment,washing machine,oven,microwave,... 2!!bathrooms,so I had one for myself :) that was perfect.. my room was small but it was enough. I made a mistake at the beginning, I wouldn't do this once again.. I didn't have a contract with her.. a written one!! THAT'S IMPORTANT!

- all tapas bars - elefunk (that's a great bar.. you'll have a lot of fun! groovy!) - FERIAAA :) that's the great thing of Sevilla... but you have to search for Spanish people.. you have to look for amigos before this fiesta ;) - all cinemas... - there are a lot of nice cafes - the best ice in this city: at RAYES - ... you have to find out yourself! :) that's the best way!
