Italians are warm and friendly, and they appreciate people trying to speak Italian. Especially in Milan, which is not one of the more tourist-oriented destinations in Italy, few people speak English.

Milan is notorious for shopping (clothes and shoes shoes shoes). There are so many things to do, places to see and people to meet that money flies. Besides, I have a very cheap flat back at home.

I did a lot of research, read travel reports from previous years, asked around and assumed that there would be cultural differences. There was not much that surprised me.

The school was high level, the international office was very helpful and understanding, and I would definitely want to go there again given the opportunity.

The international students stick together and do many things (traveling/partying/dining, etc.) together. The international office of the school is EXTREMELY helpful and glad to answer any questions you may have. As a city, Milan is wonderful for shopping and it well connected to cities in Italy and the rest of Europe.

Pourquoi?

My dormitory room was pretty ascetic. My friends found some nice apartments with the help of the school and some student organizations. Unfortunately, they were more expensive as well.

I appreciated the fact that my room was cleaned every day - it was included in the relatively cheap price of the accomodation. I enjoy cooking and there were no cooking facilities or refrigerators in the rooms or in common areas.
