I did not take Italian courses at Bocconi however I did take 2 other courses offerred by the IES program (Italian Politics and Advanced Italian Language) in Italian and these truly helped in advancing my schools. However, interacting with Italians on a daily basis was what truly helped me feel comfortable and also led me to reach a very proficient level.
Never take more than you need with you. It became a hassle to have too much luggage especially because by the time you leave there is so much you have accumulated shopping.

Explore the facility and become involved with their international student's network. Italian students run activities for international students. Do not be afraid to interact with the locals, they are more than willing to help. Italians are generous people so do not be intimidated.

Make sure that you apply on time for courses at Bocconi through your nearest Italian consulate. Once you are there make sure you talk to people about the city, it can be dangerous if you look like a tourist. Always carry an I.D. and do not forget to take a map with you and buy transportation tickets before going on the tram/bus/or metro.
Milan was very expensive and I did not have a job while I was there.

It is important to budget and keep track on how you are spending your money.It is best to shop for groceries at the Market than at grocery shops, also there is the possibility you can attain baby-sitting or dog/cat-sitting jobs.
