don't miss the Livello..nice bar tender "sam" at the corto maltese, mixing on thursday by 10.Gianni's best ice creams on earth!!ask my stomach!! "l'africano" good place to go for cheap and good food...

It was a student residence, the best way to get in touch with italian students, but was located too far away from my university.

try not to open a bank account in Italy..you'll get heavily taxed even if you never use your credit card!!!

I had studied italian for 4 years before I went to Bologna, so I had no problems to express myself and to understand people in everyday's life.

I would have knowm that Bologna was so expensive, much more than the rest of Italy!!!

Bologna is well located, very close to the good places to go in Italy, one hour from Florence, 2 from Milan and Venice..and you can get discounts with what they call the " train green card".

try to think of the courses to choose before you leave your place, and also try to get early in touch with the teachers..tell them you're part of a foreign exchange program..so that they'll help you to get familiar with the way the exams go
