EDUCATION IN THE UK IS DAILY. IN THIS WAY, YOU HAVE TO WORK EVERYDAY AND FINAL EXAMS ARE NOT SO IMPORTANT. I THINK IT IS A POSITIVE ASPECT OF EDUCATION BUT TEACHERS ARE VERY HARD. ALTHOUGH THE EXAMS ARE EASY TO PASS, IS VERY DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN A GOOG MARK.

Tokyo Jo's (if it still exists), pubs everywhere in the town (I don't remember the names). A lot to see around Preston: Manchester, Lancaster, Lake district, Blackpool... Very close to Scotland, if you wish to have a one-week trip (as I did).

Preston is quite a small town. It couldn't be the best choice for you if you used to live in a big city.
