you'll have to take the abonnement for the bus : it'll be cheaper to transit downtown .
Prepare your budget very carefully cause you'll have to pay for insurance, books, furnitures.. in the very beginning of the year.

for food, I'm living in the university so there's meal plans for everyday : no need to go out to eat. For telephone, I don't call using the line but I buy some phone cards to call my family, it's cheaper. In another hand I have internet in my room that helps a lot.

in winnipeg you must visit the theatre and all the malls (st vital, polo park..) There is also a ballet theatre dowtown and a huge place called the conventional centre where some parties are done. There is also a court for golf, tennis... You should also go to The empire, for me it's the best night spot in Winnipeg.

the university offers a lot of services that help me for the basic needs. I m pretty happy with it. Living on campus is a good experience. The room is large so I feel confortable
