I was content with the accomodation in the Student Hostel, but it would be better if you could decide to live in a single room (normally all rooms are double). One negative aspect: sometimes there were misunderstandings between certain foreign and certain polish students.

Depends on your subjects, but I think in Lodz are good facilities; I made very good experiences in my department. Some departments offer courses in english, french and german.
