1. Employment Law Expertise
* Act as a legal advisor to HR teams, management, colleague, staff representative
* Train and raise awareness among HR team and managers on labor law
* Analyze and secure individual and collective employment-related decisions (hiring, mobility, disciplinary actions, terminations, reorganizations, work life)
* Ensure compliance of HR practices with applicable labor laws (local law, collective bargaining agreements, company agreements)
* Draft, review, and harmonize legal documentation, including:
o Employment contracts (permanent, fix term, part time, addendum)
o Internal policies,
o Collective bargaining agreements
* Monitor legal and case law developments in labor law and assess their business impacts
* Participate in cross-functional international projects (HR process harmonization, code of conduct, social compliance)
This is a hybrid role 3 days per week from the Paris office.
Summary of role
This role is a key employment law and employee relations position, providing expert legal support to HR and managers across a wide range of workforce matters. You'll help ensure the organisation remains compliant with employment legislation, manage relationships with employee representative bodies, support workplace issues and contribute to broader governance, and compliance.
What I will be doing
You'll act as a trusted legal advisor on employment law matters, providing guidance on topics such as hiring, mobility, performance management, disciplinary action, terminations, reorganisations and workplace policies. You'll draft, review and maintain employment-related documentation, ensuring HR practices remain aligned with local legislation, collective agreements and company policies.
A significant part of the role will focus on employee relations, including supporting relationships with works councils, employee representatives and trade unions. You'll help prepare meeting, consultations, negotiations and collective agreements.
You'll also manage employment disputes and litigation, working closely with external legal counsel to assess risk, define legal strategies and support business decision-making. In addition, you'll contribute to compliance and governance, supporting areas such as diversity and inclusion, workplace wellbeing, harassment and discrimination matters, whistleblowing processes, social audits and risk management programmes.
What we are looking for
We're looking for an experienced employment law specialist with strong expertise in labour law and employee relations.
You'll have experience working with employee representative bodies, supporting collective consultations and negotiations, and handling employment disputes and litigation. Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently across a broad range of legal and HR topics.
The ideal candidate will combine technical legal expertise with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach and a genuine interest in supporting organisational change, compliance, employee wellbeing and positive workplace relations.
