As a Tool & Die Technician here at Honeywell, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient maintenance, repair, modification, and fabrication of tooling, dies, and fixtures used in manufacturing operations, This role ensures tooling operates efficiently, safely, and meets quality standards to support continuous production.
Your contributions will directly support our operational efficiency and help us meet our business objectives.

You will report directly to a Snr Manufacturing Engineer Supervisor and will work Full time at our Southend location.

Key skills and qualifications
* Technical qualification in Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering, or Precision Engineering, with relevant apprenticeship experience.
* Proven experience in a tool room or manufacturing environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of precision machining and tooling repair.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications to enhance operational efficiency.
* Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards while adhering to health and safety regulations in the workplace.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and adopt a continuous improvement mindset.

Ihr Profil:

Key responsibilities
* Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and tooling to ensure optimal production equipment performance.
* Perform preventative maintenance on tooling to reduce downtime and extend tool life while documenting all activities.
* Diagnose and resolve tooling issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for continuous improvement.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models, and manufacture or modify tooling components using CNC and manual machining equipment.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to install and validate new tooling, ensuring compliance with quality standards and manufacturing tolerances
