Scientist (Stability) - Slough

As a Scientist you will join the Stability team within Analytical Services at our site in Slough, you will be responsible for completing experimental work in laboratory using a wide range of analytical methods including HPLC, electrophoresis, spectrophotometry and general characteristic analysis to assess the stability of therapeutic proteins.
You will have the opportunity to become a system owner of cutting age analytical technology/ equipment, insuring maintenance is kept up to date. As the equipment expert, you will be also supporting training of analytical methods to junior member of team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform experimental work to assess the stability of therapeutic proteins
* Ensure all work is carried out in a safe and compliant manner
* Plan and complete assigned tasks within the required timeframe
* Technically review assays for stability studies against standard operating procedures, protocols and GMP principles
* Liaise with operators and study directors to close out technical review of assays
* Interpret data against specifications and identify trends within data, and generate reports
* Communicate progress and escalate challenges to Line manager and/or scientific lead
* Work collaboratively in a team to ensure business, regulatory and customer needs are met
* Opportunity to get involved in process improvement initiatives
Key skills and experience required:
* BSc or MSc in Biology, Biochemistry or Biotechnology
* Proven experience in using a range of analytical methods such as HPLC, SDS PAGE, icIEF, ELISA
* Experience of working in a contract research environment
* Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Proactive nature and a desire to learn
