Associate I - Reinsurance Actuaries

Guy Carpenter is looking for a brilliant and talented candidate to join our Analytics Team as an Associate I - Reinsurance Actuaries based on Milan Office.

What can you expect?

You will take part into the following activities:
* Interpret and analyze client underwriting information to advise reinsurance programs based on risk tolerance level and industry trends;
* Design, price and evaluate reinsurance structures from an actuarial perspective;
* Check client data for reasonability, loads data into predictive models, runs the models and shares output with brokers in support of reinsurance transaction process;
* Perform calculations using specific models with client data to assess a range of risk exposures and predict outcomes for clients;
* Examine alternative forms of risk financing;
* Determine the actuarial appraisal value of an insurance company as part of a merger and acquisition transaction;
* Assist in responding to client queries and concerns, resolving issues promptly;
* Update Actuaries on issues, progress, etc., regularly and upon request;
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal & external clients.

Requirements:
* Degree in Statistical and Actuarial Sciences/Mathematics/Engineering;
* Good understanding of the product lines and industry conditions to identify significant considerations that insurers should address in designing their programs;
* Proficient in English, both verbal and written;
* Excellent communications, presentations and project management skills;
* Strong ability to handle significant workflow through efficient time management;
* Well-versed in office software.

* Knowledge or R or Python preferred.
