Backend Scala Developer in Latvia

You'll be a member of the engineering team bringing a mix of architecture skills, leadership as well as hands on development. This will encompass development of server-side software following recognized standards and patterns. You'll have ample opportunity to showcase your passion for technology. Your main area of expertise would be JVM related technologies.

Key responsibilities:
* Design cloud-native micro services, implementing RESTful APIs
* Develop clean, well-tested and maintainable code backend powering complex client solutions
* Large enterprise solution integration and maintenance
* Close collaboration with client architecture and development teams
* Be member of an Agile development team

Required Qualifications:
* Hands on experience with Scala backend development using Cats, Akka, Play
* Proficiency in REST APIs development
* Knowledge of TDD and BDD
* Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
* ​EU citizenship (due to projects)

Desired Qualifications:
* Docker / Kubernetes experience
* Understanding of cloud native application development and/or cloud certification: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
