Information about the position

Our team's mission is to make discovering, building, and maintaining valuable machine learning products obvious at (COMPANY NAME). We develop machine learning capabilities, set machine learning standards, consult other teams on machine learning opportunities, and make the state, value, successes, and problems of machine learning in (COMPANY NAME) visible.

As a Lead Data Scientist, you will work closely with the Staff Data Scientist and will make an impact across the organization. You will leverage your expertise in building valuable machine learning solutions to consult and provide hands-on support to the teams trying to discover and deliver machine learning products. You will work with the leaders of product teams and domains to evaluate both the machine learning products and the capabilities of the product teams to deliver these products. You will help the teams meet the machine learning quality standards, and you will also help shape the product roadmap of the machine learning platform development.

In this position, you'll

* Consult the product teams on the best practices for discovering and delivering machine learning products.
* Consult the leaders of product teams and domains on setting up the topology and processes to maximise data science success.
* Provide hands-on support to the product teams for the discovery and delivery of machine learning products.
* Provide hands-on support to the product teams in scoring their machine learning products.
* Support the implementation of the ML standards for evaluating the implementations of machine learning products.
* Support the implementation of the standards for evaluating the capabilities of the teams to deliver machine learning products.
* Contribute to the discovery of our new data platform features that have the highest impact for data science success.
* Contribute to making the state, value, successes, and problems of data science in (COMPANY NAME) visible.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of the organization-wide machine learning strategy.

About you

* Extensive experience in discovering, developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning models in a production environment.
* Strong understanding of the machine learning tooling landscape.
* Familiarity with the latest developments in machine learning and data science.
* Solid understanding of modern product development practices.
* Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and project management skills.
* Experience with modern machine learning tooling, e.g. Python, Pandas, SQL, PyTorch, etc.

The salary range for this position is EUR 5,770 - EUR 7,130 gross per month
