Your Role And Responsibilities

Are you interested in joining an elite team of incident response consultants? If so, X-Force IR, IBM Security's team of veteran incident responders, is looking for interns for the summer of 2026, and you may be the perfect fit.

This position resides in Toronto or Ottawa and is a 4 months work term commencing in May 2026. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full-time studies at a post-secondary institution and returning to full-time studies upon completion of the work-term. Please note that MBA and PHD Candidates are not eligible for this program.

Bachelor's Degree

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

* Currently pursuing a university degree with a track-record of academic success
* Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong interpersonal skills that enhance collaboration and relationship building, while also managing dynamic workloads in an agile environment
* Have initiative and passion to actively seek new knowledge and improve skills while embracing a growth mindset to assimilate diverse viewpoints

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

* Proficient Programing Skills
* Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following Security Domains: Incident Response, Digital Forensics, Tabletop Exercises, Threat Hunting, Cloud Platforms
* Experience in some aspect of incident response planning
* Knowledge of forensic analysis, memory analysis, and/or malware analysis
