What is the opportunity?
Are you interested in the opportunity to work as a Strategic Execution Program Data & Analytics Summer Intern at RBC? In this role, you will support the team by providing data management & analytics for strategic & process risk projects. You will build tools and templates to support data management & reporting, develop project Connect sites to support communication & analyze large data sets to provide strategic insights. This role presents opportunities to connect with leaders across the enterprise while delivering on project goals. Strong data analytical skills, organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills and business acumen will make you a valuable asset in this role.
As part of the Process Risk Centre of Excellence and Strategic Execution group under the RBC Chief Controls office, the Strategic Execution team has a mandate to develop and implement a proactive, standardized, scalable program and project management discipline that drives consistency in delivery of strategic objectives, while ensuring execution of RBC enterprise (Board, CoE and Group Executive) and cross-functional business programs and projects. Working within a high-performance area of the bank, the team provides opportunities for skill development, career advancement, and the chance to work on the bank's most ambitious initiatives.
What will you do?
* Support data-related projects: gathering requirements, building dashboards & tools, perform data analysis, interpret & present data in a meaningful way
* Support Project Managers in the development and management of program milestones and deliverables
* Assist in identifying and tracking business and stakeholder issues and requirements and developing creative solutions
* Assist with preparation of project material, updating project controls and other project artifacts
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
* Working towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited University
* An interest in project management and/or risk management; prior experience is not required but ability and willingness to learn quickly is a must
* Excellent oral and written interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to professionally communicate with senior management
* Technical Skills: Strong Microsoft Office proficiency - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, prior experience building Dashboards
* The ability to work independently as well as to be able to collaborate and work effectively in teams, with internal departments and build partnerships with stakeholders
* Strong business acumen and analytical mindset
* Excellent organizational skills
* Strategic thinker with passion for using creativity in problem solving
* Technical Skills: Strong Microsoft Office proficiency - MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Please note: This posting is for a 4-months Summer 2026 Student placement with a start date of May 2026, and end date of August 2026. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:
* Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026 ; or
* If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2026), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
