SaLT team is seeking an intern to participate in the language modeling work for Siri. You will work with the leading scientists and engineers who created the intelligent assistant that made all of this possible just by interacting with Siri. We look for students who have the ability to innovate. You will be natural collaborator, comfortable with giving and receiving feedback and able to thrive in a dynamic environment. We will partner you with a dedicated mentor who is an authority in your specialist area. You and your mentor will collaborate to design and implement an innovative solution for an ML or NLP problem that is meaningful. At the end of your internship, and if the results permit, you will have the chance to submit your work for publication at a suitable conference.

Minimum Qualifications

* Masters/PhD student studying computer science, applied mathematics or related subject.
* Expertise with Machine Learning, Automatic Speech recognition (ASR), or Natural Language Processing (NLP), ideally in one or more of these areas: language modeling, named-entity recognition, knowledge distillation, transfer learning, model compression.
* Proficiency in Python.
* Hands-on experience with deep learning toolkits like TensorFlow, PyTorch etc.

* Inquisitive in pursuit of excellence, able to demonstrate strong sense of curiosity.
* Action orientated, takes ownership and is proactive in delivering against commitments
