Graduate Intern
Clyde W - Graduate Intern
16 weeks in 2014
An enriching Internship is one where the individual gains personal growth and development, not only in the career, but in themselves.

An internship should allow the individual to become more confident in everything he/she does.

It should also offer proper guidance. The work of the Internship should be challenging, but simultaneously have proper support. It should not merely be administrative tasks, but more technical responsibilities allowing the individual to gain a vast array of knowledge and be challenged in numerous ways, while simultaneously being personally developed.
Pros: I gained a good amount of work experience as this was my first job.
Cons: It was not in my field of interest as it was predominantly Social Worker related.

The internship allowed me to utilise the journalistic skills and expertise that I acquired from university but I felt that it was not nearly as insightful as I had expected. In any case, it was an acceptable internship.
Pros: Accommodating supervisor
Cons: Could be more challenging and engaging
