In this position, you need to work with Intel silicon firmware/BIOS teams and platform BIOS architecture teams to develop Client platform BIOS and reference code supporting Intel CPUs, chipsets and platform technologies, as well as software tools for BIOS development, release, quality assurance. This role is also responsible for creating specifications, documents for internal and external use/releases.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. - 0 to 1 year of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 0 years with a Master's degree. - Proficiency in C programming, with a preference for familiarity with assembly languages. - Foundational knowledge of UEFI BIOS and X86 system hardware architecture. - Basic understanding of the ACPI specification and other industry standards. - Effective verbal and written communication skills for documentation and collaboration. Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge of Python or other scripting languages for automation and debugging. - Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills. - Experience with software architecture, design, and debugging. - Capability to effectively present technical concepts and solutions to diverse teams. - Previous exposure to firmware development through academic projects, internships, or professional roles.
