Your impact
We are seeking a talented and motivated Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our MEP team at Jacobs. This role offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to apply their knowledge and skills in a dynamic, professional environment while contributing to innovative projects across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the design and development of mechanical systems for buildings and infrastructure projects
* Perform calculations and analysis for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
* Create and review technical drawings and specifications using CAD software
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutions
* Participate in site visits and surveys to gather project-specific information
* Contribute to energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives in building designs
* Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and client deliverables
* Support senior engineers in project management tasks and client interactions
* Stay updated with industry standards, building codes, and emerging technologies
Here's what you'll need
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
* Strong academic record with a focus on building services or related coursework
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP)
* Basic understanding of building information modeling (BIM) concepts
* Familiarity with industry standards and building codes
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Strong written and verbal communication abilities
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Enthusiasm for learning and professional development
Preferred Skills
* Knowledge of energy modeling software
* Understanding of sustainable design principles and green building certifications
* Experience with project management tools and methodologies
* Internship or co-op experience in the MEP field
