Duties and Responsibilities

During this experience, you will collaborate on a cybersecurity project where you will:
* Research and apply modern AI/ML techniques relevant to cybersecurity use cases.
* Develop and optimize Python-based scripts and ML models.
* Analyze security-related data to identify patterns and anomalies.
* Support evaluation and tuning of machine learning models for detection or classification of the use cases.
* Collaborate with team members on model design, testing, and documentation.

Required Skills and Knowledge

* Currently studying for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, AI/ML, or a related field (minimum three completed semesters).
* Practical experience with Python.
* Strong analytical mindset, eagerness to learn, and motivation to work in a multicultural environment.

Additional knowledge (available or to be developed)

* Experience with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
* Familiarity with security logs, SIEM data, or threat-detection use cases.
* Basic understanding of SQL and JSON.
* Good understanding of data analysis, statistics, machine-learning fundamentals, and cybersecurity concepts.
* Ability to work on combined problem statements involving both security and data science.

Work Conditions

* You are available 20 hours per week for the working student duties.
* You work on site in our office in Erding as part of the team.
