About this Position

This internship position will help build a system that blends machine learning (ML), physics-based modeling and packaging science to predict packaging behavior during compatibility tests. This role is perfect for students excited about the intersection of data science, engineering and real-world product performance.

What you´ll do

* Collect, organize and sort historical packaging test data from multiple sources
* Analyze and structure results
* Develop and evaluate ML models - Random Forest, XGBoost, to predict storage test outcomes
* Contribute to hybrid AI models by integrating physics-based equations with ML techniques

What makes you a good fit

* Student who is pursuing a bachelor or master degree in the field of packaging, mechanical or plastic engineering
* Practical or international experience, e.g. by former internships or semester abroad, is beneficial
* Fluent English language skills, German and other languages are advantageous
* Firm knowledge of MS-Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint, basic experience on packaging specification and data analysis and visualization
* Basic machine learning understanding
* Strong communication and analytical skills
* Self-motivated, creative and open-minded team-player with high level of independence

We offer you an attractive salary between EUR1.050-2.270 gross per month. The exact amount of the remuneration depends on the desired duration, the type of internship (voluntary or mandatory) and existing degrees.
