At the core of the UN in Indonesia's work is the United Nations Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) 2026 - 2030, the key strategic document guiding collaboration between the UN, the host government, and other partners. The Cooperation Framework outlines shared priorities and responsibilities, ensuring that the UN's support complements national development plans and global goals. The United Nations Resident Coordinator's Office (RCO), under the leadership of the Resident Coordinator, serves as the coordination hub for UN agencies, funds, and programmes. The RCO's core functions include strategic planning, partnerships and development finance, data and results management, and communications and advocacy. The Economist and Development Coordination Intern will work closely with the Economist and Programme team to support coordination, research, reporting, and communication activities related to the implementation and monitoring of the Cooperation Framework and broader UN development priorities in Indonesia. The intern will contribute to research, stakeholder coordination, SDG-related reporting, meeting documentation, and preparation of analytical and communication materials to support the RCO's engagement with Government counterparts, UN agencies, private sector, development partners, academia, civil society, and other stakeholders. The intern will contribute to the following areas: Research & Analytical Support * Support background research on socio-economic trends, SDG progress, national development priorities, and emerging development issues relevant to Indonesia. * Assist in reviewing policy documents, development reports, and briefing materials relevant to Cooperation Framework implementation. * Support preparation of background notes, summaries, presentations, talking points, and briefing materials for meetings, consultations, and events. * Assist in conducting stakeholder mapping and information gathering related to UN coordination and development priorities. * Support compilation and organization of information and inputs related to SDG monitoring and reporting processes. Coordination & Reporting Support * Support coordination with UN agencies and relevant stakeholders related to Cooperation Framework implementation and SDG-related activities. * Assist in organizing and documenting meetings, workshops, consultations, and inter-agency coordination sessions. * Prepare meeting summaries, minutes, action trackers, and follow-up notes. * Support tracking of coordination processes, follow-up actions, and reporting timelines. * Assist in maintaining contact lists, trackers, and knowledge management materials related to the RCO's work. Communications & Presentation Support * Support preparation of presentations, visual materials, and communication products related to UN development priorities and SDG-related themes. * Assist in drafting summaries, communication content, and outreach materials for internal and external audiences. * Support preparation of accessible and user-friendly materials for meetings, consultations, and advocacy activities. * Assist in supporting visibility and outreach efforts related to Cooperation Framework priorities and RCO initiatives. Events & Administrative Support * Support logistical and administrative coordination for meetings, workshops, consultations, and events organized or supported by the RCO. * Attend meetings (in-person or online) and support documentation and coordination processes as required. * Assist the team with other coordination and administrative tasks as needed.
