As a project intern, you will have the opportunity to engage in impactful short-term projects that provide you with a glimpse of professional real-world experience. Candidates who pass resume screening will be invited to participate in TikTok's technical online assessment. The Fashion Category Strategy team analyze and launch projects to increase growth of the fashion category The intern will actively participate in strategic planning and operational optimization for the Fashion category. They will apply systems engineering principles and quantitative analysis to complex e-commerce ecosystems, utilizing data-driven methodologies to improve category efficiency. Throughout the internship, they will learn to execute end-to-end e-commerce strategies, apply statistical models to capture growth opportunities in a dynamic market, and develop a strategic perspective that bridges macroeconomic industry research with micro-level operational diagnostics. Responsibilities - Continuously monitor and analyze core category performance metrics, utilizing statistical methods to identify trends, operational bottlenecks, and growth opportunities within the e-commerce ecosystem. - Conduct quantitative evaluations of seller and product dynamics to support the formulation of differentiated supply-side strategies and category optimization initiatives. - Synthesize complex data to generate precise, actionable insights for regular business reviews, conducting rigorous attribution analysis on KPI fluctuations to empower management decision-making. - Execute sophisticated data extraction, processing, and operational diagnostics using SQL and Advanced Excel to address dynamic business challenges and strategic inquiries

Candidate Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field (Senior year students strongly preferred). - Demonstrated proficiency in SQL for complex database querying (e.g., multi-table joins, aggregations) and Advanced Excel (including nested functions, pivot tables, and Power Query) for rigorous data modeling and visualization. - Exceptional analytical and structural thinking capabilities, with a proven ability to distill complex, unstructured datasets into core business logic and actionable insights.
