About the Role

The role involves designing and analyzing electrical systems for medium and high voltage applications, managing projects from concept to completion, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

System Design and Analysis:
* Design and analyze electrical systems for medium and high voltage applications.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEEE, IEC, ANSI).

Project Management:
* Manage projects from initial concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and civil engineers.

Equipment Selection and Specification:
* Select and specify electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, and protective relays.
* Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to improve system efficiency and reliability.

Installation and Commissioning:
* Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.
* Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
* Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the reliability and longevity of electrical systems.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions.

Safety and Compliance:
* Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and regulations.
* Conduct safety audits and risk assessments.

Technical Documentation:
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, reports, and manuals.
* Provide technical support and training to junior engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

Educational Background:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Required Skills

Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP, PSS/E).
* Strong understanding of medium and high voltage electrical systems.
* Knowledge of power system analysis, including load flow, short circuit, and transient stability studies.
* Experience with electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE).

Practical Experience:
* Several years of experience in power engineering, with a focus on MT/HTA/HTB systems.
* Hands-on experience with electrical equipment and systems.
* Project management experience in the power industry.
