The Role
As an Operations Intern, you will play a meaningful role in supporting key initiatives that enhance the performance, engagement, and overall experience across Hyatt's managed and franchised hotel portfolio. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of operations, strategy, and innovation, contributing to projects that shape how we support our hotels and deliver on our brand promise.
You will collaborate closely with a variety of cross-functional teams, including Openings & Conversions, Franchise, and Operations, as well as other key stakeholders across the organization. The role offers broad exposure to operational priorities and strategic initiatives, providing a well-rounded view of how Hyatt supports both managed and franchised hotels.
The successful candidate must be based in Switzerland and able to work from the EAME Regional Office in Zurich three days per week. This six-month internship is open to third- or fourth-year students aswell as recent graduates and is expected to start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Support research and analysis across key operational focus areas, including Food & Beverage and broader hotel performance drivers.
* Assist in developing and maintaining tools and resources to support hotel teams across both managed and franchised hotels.
* Coordinate and contribute to monthly communications to the field, highlighting key business indicators (KBIs), performance trends, successes, and areas of opportunity.
* Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure timely follow-up on corporate initiatives and requests across the managed and franchised hotel network.
* Contribute to innovative projects, including the development of AI-driven tools (e.g., GPTs, avatar libraries) to enhance insights, communication, and operational effectiveness.
* Support the creation and continuous improvement of onboarding materials for hotel leadership teams.
* Assist in refining processes related to operator assessment, approval, and documentation to improve efficiency and governance.
* Participate in and, where appropriate, help lead targeted operational projects aimed at improving franchisee engagement, best practice adoption, and overall performance

Candidate Requirements:

Your Qualifications & Experience
* Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
* Prior experience in hotel operations is strongly preferred, with a solid understanding of day-to-day hotel environments considered an asset.
* Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a keen attention to clarity and detail.
* Comfortable working with data and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
* Demonstrated interest in hospitality operations, innovation, and continuous improvement.
* A natural curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence, with any prior exposure or hands-on experience considered a strong advantage.
* Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute in a dynamic environment.
