Join us. **Job Description** **AECOM** is seeking an **Architectural Designer / Intern Architect** to join our **Buildings + Places** team in Ottawa, Ontario. This **new position** offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful, high-impact projects across Canada while working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. **About the Role** Working under the guidance of licensed architects, you will support the design and delivery of a wide range of projects, including transportation, municipal, institutional, and government facilities. You will contribute to architectural design, technical documentation, project coordination, and office operations while applying building codes, zoning requirements, and sustainable design principles. **Key Responsibilities** + Prepare architectural designs, models, and technical drawings using **Revit** . + Assist in the development of design and construction documentation in compliance with applicable codes, including the **Ontario Building Code** . + Support project teams with coordination, documentation, and consultant integration across multiple disciplines. + Contribute to **BIM standards** , quality control reviews, and sustainable design practices. + Participate in design discussions, reviews, and preparation of presentation materials. + Assist with contract administration activities, including **shop drawing review and coordination** . + Manage and maintain accurate, well-organized project documentation and project files. + **Assist with day-to-day office administrative tasks as required** , such as preparing meeting. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** + **Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture** (completed or in progress), or a diploma/certificate in Architectural Technology. + Ability to obtain **security clearance** . **Preferred Qualifications** + Bilingualism (English and French). + Proficiency in Revit, BIM tools, MS Office, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). + Working knowledge of Rhino, Enscape, and/or V-Ray for modeling and visualization. + Knowledge of building systems, construction detailing, and municipal approval processes. + Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. + Interest or experience in sustainable design (LEED, Envision, Passive House considered assets). + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, multidisciplinary environment. **Additional Information** + Relocation is not available for this position. + Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
