We are currently seeking a Enterprise Architect to join our team in Heredia, Heredia (CR-H), Costa Rica (CR).
Principal Enterprise Architect (P&C Insurance)

Position Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Principal Enterprise Architect to lead the design, governance, and evolution of our enterprise ecosystem. You will bridge the gap between high-level strategy and technical execution, leveraging your expertise in .NET, React, and API design to build scalable, secure solutions. As a key leader, you will champion architecture best practices, mentor engineering teams, and integrate AI-driven development tools to enhance enterprise-wide code quality.

Core Responsibilities
Architecture Strategy & Governance
* Define and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap aligned with business goals.
* Lead Architecture Review Boards (ARB) to evaluate and approve new solution designs.
* Standardize design patterns, ensuring consistency and resilience across all enterprise applications.
Hands-on Technical Leadership
* Oversee full-stack development, specifically focusing on .NET (C#) backends and React frontends.
* Design and govern RESTful and event-driven APIs to ensure seamless system interoperability.
* Modernize legacy systems using cloud-native patterns and microservices.
Security, Performance & Quality
* Implement Security-by-Design, ensuring compliance with P&C insurance industry regulations.
* Optimize systems for high availability, scalability, and observability.
* Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development and modern DevOps pipelines to boost productivity.
* Enforce high code-quality standards (SOLID, Clean Architecture, and automated testing).
Collaboration & Mentorship
* Act as a technical consultant to business stakeholders and product owners.
* Mentor senior developers and architects, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
* Translate complex technical roadmaps into actionable guidance for non-technical leadership.

Qualifications
Required Expertise:
* Experience: Proven track record as an Enterprise or Solution Architect in large-scale environments.
* Tech Stack: Deep, hands-on experience with .NET/C# and React.
* Domain Knowledge: Strong background in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry.
* Architecture: Expert knowledge of API design, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
* Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Skills:
* Cloud platform expertise (Azure or AWS).
* Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and automation.
* Background in modernizing monolithic legacy applications.
Education:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred).
