Position Title: Commodity Manager - Stamping & Fabrication
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/ Week
Summary of Duties: Leverage Siemens Total Purchase Volume in NAM focus on SI-EP to maximize pooling opportunities. Establish best in class supply-chain-management processes focused on productivity, quality, and availability. Lead a virtual/disciplinary regional Commodity team for strategy development and implementation. Perform a leading role in commercial issues, supplier qualification, development, and overall relationship management. Apply supply market intelligence and Commercial & Technical Levers to drive CNI (Productivity). Develop, communicate, and implement Forward Procurement List to establish sustainable supply base. Contribute to Net Income. Negotiate Master Procurement Agreement, including pricing, terms & conditions, payment terms in alignment with RCM, PuC, and LPMs. Drive/Monitor project progress and cost savings implementation. Utilize Supply Market Intelligence, Siemens Spend Pooling, and all commercial levers and technical levers to drive productivity. Develop and implement SMS (Supplier Material Strategy) with cross functional input to cover Commodity Strategies, Pooling Strategies, Supplier Strategies & Negotiation Roadmap. Lead FPL Development, Communication, and Implementation. Assist and escalation in negotiations for Logistics and Shipping Agreement, including consigned inventory, vendor managed inventory. Participate in Supplier Qualification, FPL, annual supplier evaluation, & supplier development. Ensure PVO & ESN code transparency. 20% domestic travel.
Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. Alternately will accept a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and one (1) year of experience. Position requires experience with the following: Experience in Procurement of Sheet Metal Parts; Proof of leading some or part of project; Communication Skills Conflict Management; Technological Domain of systems such as SAP; Basic financial knowledge & analysis; Business case analysis; Production technology knowledge; Negotiation skills and training
