Procurement Associate - Office with Flex/Hybrid - Sofia, Warsaw or Dublin

This is an Office Hybrid role in Sofia, Bulgaria (office-based - 60%/remote - 40%).

What You Will Be Doing:
* Assisting in the procurement process by managing purchase orders, supplier negotiations, and vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
* Collaborating with internal teams to understand procurement needs and requirements and ensuring that procurement activities align with project and operational goals.
* Maintaining accurate procurement records, tracking order status, and resolving any issues or discrepancies related to orders or invoices.
* Supporting the continuous improvement of procurement processes by providing feedback and recommendations based on procurement data and experiences.
* Category Management and drive global vendor discovery, sourcing and vendor selection including the development of sourcing and vendor management strategies, strategic relations to meet ICON's commercial, cost saving and operational objectives.
* Contribute to formulation of Global Procurement strategy and group/individual category strategies.
* Ensure the execution of standards, controls, policies, procedures and performance metrics to effectively and efficiently manage 3rd party spend for your categories across the enterprise.
* Support with clearing overdue invoice backlogs with key suppliers
* Create/support strategic relationships with key vendors to meet/exceed requirements for cost reduction & service improvement.
* Category Management of the day-to-day relation with assigned vendors and assigned categories to meet our customer needs
* Development of longer-term vendor relationships and contracts
* Manage key vendor performance for your categories to support continuous improvement with the implementation and management of Scorecard/KPI performance in the key areas of Delivery, Quality and Cost Control, taking corrective action as appropriate.
* Principle point of contact with vendor/3rd party.

Your Profile:
* Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field or relevant work experience. Some experience or internship in procurement, supply chain management, or in the clinical trials industry preferred.
* An understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract negotiation with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
* An understanding of Clinical procurement is beneficial to this role.
* Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
* Strong presentation skills, ability to speak to groups of stakeholders in English with confidence.
* Detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure accuracy in procurement activities.
* Willingness to learn and adapt, with a commitment to supporting procurement operations and contributing to the success of the team.
* Excellent command of English.
