About us

RCI Insurance Ltd and RCI Life Ltd aim to provide insurance solutions to customers of Mobilize Financial Services' (within Renault Group) automobile financing business and are authorised by the Malta Financial Services Authority to conduct the business of insurance.

The company offers a comprehensive range of financing and related services for car customers of Renault Group. Backed by an international network, the company has established itself in Malta to deliver and service a portfolio of protection insurance products in a number of European Countries.

In order to strengthen its existing team, the Company is seeking a 'Business Controller' who will report functionally to the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Actuary.

🔍What will you do?

Business Control
* Produce the monthly local & group reporting, analyses of the accounts and analyse/explain any deviation with Budget/Forecasts.
* Contribute to the analyses, optimization and automation of procedures of IFRS17 standards, from financial controlling point of view, with strong collaboration of accounting team and actuarial team.
* Assistance with implementation and execution of the Budget module (RIFF) in RiskIntegrity IFRS17 tool

Capital & Dividend Management
* Participate to the production of Solvency II reporting for the financial part (transformation of the Balance Sheet, Market risks…)
* Conduct the control analysis of Capital Management position of the insurance companies (Eligible Own Funds, Solvency Capital Requirement, Dividend distribution)

Budget & Business Forecast
* Produce the Business Plan of the companies based on the commercial inputs
* Participate to the definition of the Expenses assumptions.
* Perform the analysis of the Budget/Forecasts results and contribute to the communication to the Group as well as Board of Directors.

Investments
* Control/Monitor that the investments portfolio evolution is performed accordingly to the Investment's strategy define by the Investment Committee (eg. Investment limits, ESG scoring limits)
* Pilot the financial performance of the investment portfolio
* Communication and providing all necessary inputs & analyses to the Investment service provider.

Data Management
* Ensure the data quality of the financial data used in the activity with the cooperation of IT/Actuarial team.
* Contribute to reinforce automatic controls on data and process

🎓Who are we looking for?

* A Master degree in Insurance, Accounting or Finance or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 2 years of experience in internal control or auditing in financial services sector. Preference will be given to insurance related experience.
* Fluent in English is mandatory
* High level of communication
* Strong analytical skills
* High level of attention to details
* Proactive team player
