# Linux Systems Administrator ### Essential responsibilities and duties Provide remote technical support of Linux systems hosted at Forvia Global Data Centers and local sites. Provide the technical skills and knowledge to ensure systems stability and application availability. Maintain high availability of systems and disaster recovery by confirming documentation and procedures. Provide assurance of daily system operations by participation in follow-the-sun support chain. The main missions of the role are: Daily: Investigate / take action on support requests made by extended IT groups. Investigate / resolve alerts triggered by system monitoring. Participate in technical conference calls with local & remote IT staff. Communicate with remote team using IT tools e.g. (email, TEAMS, mobile phone) Arrive and work out from Forvia office. Frequent: Create / update documentation, schema, and operation procedures on systems. Participate with reporting / data collection meetings for tier 1 applications. Utilize existing process and IT tools in place for (change management, IT alerts, etc). Work with local IT teams for SAP support and Applications internal teams. Eventual: Global Travel 10 - 15% year (USA & Europe) Participate on planned weekend maintenance and out of business hours. Available for emergency on-call after hour support rotation (6pm - 8am CET) Qualifications Minimum education level: Bachelor's degree in information technologies 5 + years working experience Vmware System Administration Linux System Administration Logical Volume Management Git controller versioning RedHat Satellite Administration Cisco UCS Puppet devops Kubernetes containers SUSE, Ubuntu, Rokie Linux OS Administration Skills and competencies o Excellent verbal and written communicator o Excellent troubleshooting abilities o International team mindset o High level of integrity and work ethic o Self-directed and motivated o Creating Long Term Value: LEARNING ON THE FLY, PROBLEM SOLVING o Delivering the Results: CUSTOMER FOCUS, DRIVE FOR RESULTS, FUNCH/TECH SKILLS, PRIORITY SETTING, PROCESS MANAGEMENT o Impacting the Organization: MOTIVATING OTHERS o Leading & Developing People: CONFLICT MANAGEMENT, LISTENING
