THE ROLE
As Global Account Manager, you will play a supporting role across dentsu's bespoke service model for our client. Partnering closely with the Global Client Lead and wider account team, you will help shape, embed, and accelerate our clients global marketing transformation across its International Brands portfolio.
We are looking for a Account Manager with proven experience across global through-the-line planning, complex stakeholder management, and multi-market delivery. The right person will combine strategic clarity with resilience, maturity, diplomacy, and the ability to build trusted relationships across the client, dentsu, and partner agency teams.
Role Purpose:
The Global Account Manager provides client leadership across our clients International Brands, based in Amsterdam. The role is focused on creating alignment across global brand teams, markets, disciplines, and creative agency partners to deliver stronger marketing outcomes and growth for the client.
Key accountabilities :
* Managing the Business: Support multiple workstreams by organising resources effectively and ensuring smooth delivery against agreed processes.
* Client Relationship Management: Provide strong client service, work closely with the CAD/CD, and maintain a solid understanding of each client's products and priorities.
* Client Growth: Spot opportunities to expand work with clients through cross-sell or up-sell conversations.
* Network & Stakeholder Coordination: Handle client requests promptly and accurately, working seamlessly with local markets and dentsu teams.
* Sharing Best Practice: Promote consistent, high-quality work by sharing learnings and best practice across teams and markets.
* Financial Management: Manage PO creation, budget tracking, monthly reconciliations, and ensure all financial processes are accurate and on time.
* New Business & People Leadership: Support new business efforts and help develop direct reports through clear objectives, regular feedback, and positive leadership.
* Planning & Activation: Use dentsu tools to build smart consumer journeys, support strategy development, coordinate planning sessions, and apply optimisation learnings to future campaigns.
Professional Skills:
The ideal candidate will bring strong global account management credentials, deep media planning expertise, commercial instinct, and the relationship skills to lead confidently across markets, functions, and partner agencies.
* Commercial Awareness: Understands contract terms, evaluates plans with a commercial lens, and stays aware of client-sector trends and wider market shifts.
* Media & Strategy Skills: Comfortable using dentsu tools, applying core marketing and media principles, analysing data, and planning across BOE and digital channels.
* Communication Skills: Strong writer, presenter, and communicator who builds trust with stakeholders and maintains excellent attention to detail.
* Organisation & Delivery: Manages timelines confidently, anticipates risks, and stays steady and solutions-focused under pressure.
* Team Leadership: Provides clear feedback, handles challenging conversations effectively, delegates appropriately, and supports team growth.
* Collaboration: Builds strong relationships across internal teams, maintains regular communication, and shares insights to support better outcomes.
