THE OPPORTUNITY
Responsible for ensuring flawless new model launches, process optimization, and compliance with safety and quality standards. You will be expected to analyse the assembly design throughout the virtual programme phases and report the Basic Minute Value (BMV) and Hours Per Car (HPC) status. We will also expect you to confidently propose best-practice productivity ideas at all stages of the programme, with a strong focus on LEAN principles using various methodologies.
WHAT TO EXPECT
* Ensure team and workplace safety
* Advise manufacturing on best practices and lean principles/techniques
* Plan and execute flawless product launches, including risk and contingency management
* Maintain compliance with Bill of Process (BOP)
* Measure and report Basic Minute Value (BMV) status for new models
* Liaise with the Global Manufacturing Engineer (GME) process and facility team and support process authorisation activities
* Build and manage the launch line balance deck and all relevant output reports, schematics, labour utilisation and direct labour requirements
* Support change management activities and adapt processes to new technologies under guidance of the Industrial Lead Engineer
WHAT YOU´LL NEED
* Significant experience in Manufacturing Engineering processes, tools, and techniques, including consistent delivery of productivity targets
* Strong application of problem-solving methodologies and logical approaches to complex issues
* Comprehensive knowledge of Health & Safety audits, ergonomics, and risk assessments
* Proficient in PFMEA, Control Plan, and Design for Assembly principles
* High level of computer literacy; ability to use engineering and program tools
* Ability to successfully implement lean principles
* Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision and deliver key objectives
