The role - what's you day to day going to look like?
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the company by managing day-to-day accounting tasks. This role ensures the accuracy of financial records, assists in month-end closings, reconciliations, and contributes to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process accounts payable and receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
* Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and general ledger accounts
* Prepare and post journal entries
* Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
* Maintain and organize financial records and documentation
* Support audits by providing documentation and information as needed
* Monitor compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
* Assist with payroll and tax filings (depending on the company's needs)
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
* Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as required

Candidate Requirements:

Requirements to succeed
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday)
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
* Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to have , it's a bonus!
* Experience in SAAS.
* Knowledge of Spanish tax regulations and payroll processes
* CPA or equivalent certification (a plus)
* Experience working in a Big4
