Join EQT as a Data Engineer in the Fintech Value Stream, where you will help build and scale modern data capabilities that power financial operations, reporting, and decision-making across the organization. You will work with cloud technologies, scalable data models, and business-critical financial data in a collaborative global environment.
About the Fintech Value Stream team
The Fintech Value Stream focuses on delivering technology and data solutions that support finance-related processes across EQT. The team partners closely with finance, engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders to create scalable platforms and reliable data products that improve operational efficiency, transparency, and insights across financial operations.
The team works across modern cloud technologies and data platforms to support reporting, forecasting, reconciliation, and analytics capabilities that enable informed business decisions.
About the role
You will play an important role in designing, building, and operating EQT's cloud-based financial data platform. You will work across ingestion, transformation, and data modeling to ensure financial data is reliable, accessible, and structured for analytics and reporting.
* Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines across finance-related systems and platforms.
* Ingest and integrate data from APIs, external platforms, enterprise systems, and cloud storage solutions.
* Develop and maintain data models using dbt on Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.
* Structure and model data around key financial entities such as transactions, reporting structures, portfolios, and operational metrics.
* Enable analytics and reporting through tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and AI-enabled analytics solutions.
* Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve pipeline reliability, performance, and data quality.
* Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, analytics, engineering, and business teams to understand requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
* Contribute to modernization initiatives and continuous improvements across the data platform.
* Support infrastructure and access management using tools such as GitHub, Terraform, and Snowflake.
About you
You are an experienced Data Engineer who enjoys solving complex data challenges and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You are comfortable working in a modern cloud environment and translating business needs into scalable technical solutions. You are curious about emerging technologies and motivated by building reliable data products that create business impact.
Essential skills and experience
* Experience building and maintaining data pipelines in modern cloud environments.
* Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling for analytics and reporting use cases.
* Experience with Snowflake, dbt, or similar cloud-based data technologies.
* Experience integrating data from APIs, SaaS platforms, and enterprise systems.
* Experience collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
* Experience with version control and infrastructure tools such as Git and Terraform.
Nice to have
* Experience working with financial systems or financial reporting data.
* Experience with GCP and Fivetran.
* Understanding of private markets, investment operations, or fintech environments.
* Experience supporting AI or advanced analytics use cases.
