Kanadevia Inova is recruiting an O&M Shift Team Leader (STL) to lead the safe, compliant and efficient operation of our Westfield Energy Recovery Facility. This is a an operational leadership role with responsibility for plant performance, permit control and site safety across all operations and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Permit Office, ensuring all isolations and permits are issued and controlled safely
* Ensure full compliance with HSE, environmental, operational and contractual requirements
* Supervise operations and maintenance teams to maintain plant availability and output
* Act as senior site representative when senior management is not on site
* Maintain logs, look-ahead plans, inspections and housekeeping standards
Health, Safety & Compliance
* Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture across the site
* Ensure all personnel are trained and competent for electrical, mechanical and permit duties
* Lead safety meetings, audits, inspections and incident reviews
* Ensure the facility remains safe, clean and compliant at all times
* Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance

Candidate Requirements:

Experience & Qualifications
* Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical background (preferred)
* Proven experience in EfW, power generation or industrial plant operations
* Good experience in a Shift Team Leader or supervisory role
* Strong understanding of boilers, turbines, control systems and plant operations
* Proven experience with permit-to-work and isolation systems
Technical & Operational Skills
* In-depth knowledge of plant interlocks, alarms, trips and control loops
* Ability to respond quickly and effectively during abnormal or emergency situations
* Confident managing maintenance coordination and plant condition
* Safety-driven leader who sets and maintains high standards
* Competent with operational logs, reporting and planning tools
