The project: A great opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join our established Ministry of Justice sector within Mace, working on the delivery of a substantial number of new prisoner places at a prison in Thetford. You will be working on one the largest Mace programme of works with an alliance framework contractor and established professional team. The projects incorporate the latest modern methods of construction and standardised processes.
As part of the role, the successful candidate will be support with delivery of the project through the procurement and construction phases.
This position will suit a candidate looking to further their career with a major project or programme role that is fast paced and industry leading.
This is a client-facing role based partly on site where you will be responsible for assisting with the management of wider consultant teams and project stakeholders and working with the project lead to deliver the project successfully.
The works comprise construction of new buildings along with some refurbishment/upgrade of existing facilities.
This role will provide end to end project management assistance across the project lifecycle to meet defined time, cost, technical performance and quality requirements. You will support the project lead in all aspects of delivery by building strong working relationships with clients and colleagues and supply chain members.
The role entails hybrid working with attendance on site at least 3 days a week and working from home or the regional office as required.

You'll need to have:
* BPSS-level security clearance (or ability to obtain) with developing project management experience in property or infrastructure.
* Growing commercial, financial, construction and programme knowledge.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with stakeholder engagement experience.
* Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE) and commitment to learning, innovation and sustainability.
