As a CBRE Multi-skilled Technician, to ensure the smooth operation andupkeep of the commercial office environment by managing general buildingmaintenance tasks and supervising contractors for specialist works. This roleexcludes HVAC, electrical, and mechanical responsibilities.

This job is part of the Engineering andTechnical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support,preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Responsibilities And Daily Activities

* Conductroutine maintenance inspections of building fabric, fixtures, and fittings(doors, locks, flooring, ceilings) diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
* Carry outminor repairs such as patch painting, door adjustments, and furniture fixes.
* Communicateclearly with CBRE FM Team/Facilities Manager regarding job progress andtimelines.
* Providefeedback on recurring issues and suggest improvements.
* Assistwith installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
* Reviewassigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to completerepairs. Work with available systems to manage and track completion.
* Respond tohelpdesk requests for general maintenance issues.
* Supportenergy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
* Useexisting procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limitedopportunity to exercise discretion.
* Impactthrough clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail.
* Deliverown output by following defined procedures and processes under closesupervision and guidance.
* ContractorSupervision point of contact for contractors performing specialist works (e.g.,lifts, fire systems, cleaning, pest control).
* Coordinatecontractor access, ensuring compliance with site security and safety protocols.
* Monitorcontractor performance and verify completion of works to agreed standards.
* Maintainaccurate records of contractor activities, permits, and compliancedocumentation.
* Ensurecommunal areas, meeting rooms, and office spaces remain in good condition.
* Report andescalate any major defects or hazards promptly.
* Ensure allmaintenance activities adhere to health & safety regulations and buildingcodes.
* Supportstatutory compliance checks (e.g., fire safety, water hygiene) by coordinatingcontractors and maintaining documentation.
* Participatein site audits and risk assessments.

Qualifications And Skills

* UKEquivalent: GCSEs (grades 9-4), Level 2/3 vocational qualifications (NVQ, City& Guilds, BTEC), or completed apprenticeship in building maintenance orfacilities. with 1-2 years ofjob-related experience. In lieu of an apprenticeship a combination ofexperience and education will be considered.
* Meet thephysical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking,climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs.or more.
* Abilityto follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
* Communicationskills to exchange straightforward information.
* Workingknowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook,etc.
* Experiencein general building maintenance within a commercial environment.
* Strongorganizational and coordination skills for managing contractors.
* Knowledge ofhealth & safety requirements and permit-to-work systems.
* Basic ITskills for record-keeping and reporting.

Desirable

* Familiaritywith CAFM systems for work order management.
* Understandingof compliance requirements for fire safety and water hygiene.
