They translate brand ambition into authentic experiences, build trust with bartenders, consumers and trade partners, and ignite advocacy that scales across markets. About the International Brand Ambassador Programme
The Programme offers you the opportunity to represent our Scotch whiskies in one of our international markets, while becoming part of the local Pernod Ricard marketing and sales teams in the host country.
As a Brand Ambassador, you will gain hands-on commercial experience, deep brand knowledge and the opportunity to represent the some of the world's bestselling Scotch whiskies globally.
You'll play a key role in building the brand through education, advocacy and trade engagement. You will lead product training with bartenders and consumers, host tastings, support events and develop relationships, you'll help grow the brand's visibility and relevance in your market while championing what makes our products distinctive.
As visa processing timelines can vary by market, successful candidates may spend an initial period supporting the Brand Homes team before commencing their international placement. This provides a valuable opportunity to further develop their knowledge of whisky, gain hands-on commercial experience, and build a strong foundation before transitioning into their Brand Ambassador role.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging brand education sessions, tastings, and mentoring programmes for sales teams, trade partners, bartenders, mixologists, consumers, and influencers.
* Act as a credible brand advocate, building awareness, understanding, and affinity for the brand across target audiences.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key on-trade accounts, flagship venues, industry influencers, and trade partners.
* Support the planning and execution of trade activations, customer promotions, events, and brand visibility initiatives.
* Collaborate with local sales and marketing teams to identify growth opportunities and drive brand distribution, visibility, and consumer conversion.
* Represent the brand at trade, consumer, and media events, delivering compelling brand experiences and presentations.
* Support the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of brand activation programmes and promotional activities.
* Gather and share market intelligence, competitor insights, consumer trends, and best practices with local and global teams.
* Promote brand activity through media engagement, PR opportunities, and industry partnerships where appropriate.
* Complete regular reporting on market performance, ambassador activity, consumer engagement, and activation results.
* Develop and maintain a strong social and digital presence, creating content that showcases brand activity, events, and advocacy initiatives.
* Build and nurture relationships with consumers, trade partners, and influencers through both online and in-person engagement.
Essential Skills & Experience
We are looking for ambitious, commercially minded individuals who are excited by the opportunity to develop a career within premium spirits and consumer marketing.
* Relevant experience in sales, bartending, hospitality, advocacy, or a related commercial field, and/or a relevant university degree.
* A willingness to live and work internationally for a minimum of two years.
* A genuine interest in pursuing an international career within marketing, advocacy, or commercial functions.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage a variety of audiences.
* A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
* Professionalism and maturity, with the ability to represent both the brand and company with credibility and integrity.
* A passion for hospitality, cocktails, spirits, and consumer engagement.
* Adaptability and resilience, with the ability to thrive in new environments and cultures.
* A responsible attitude towards alcohol and a commitment to promoting responsible consumption.
Desirable Experience & Skills
* Experience living, studying, or working abroad.
* Knowledge of, or interest in, Scotch whisky or premium spirits.
* Additional language skills.
* Experience in events, advocacy, hospitality, content creation, or social media.
* Creative interests, side projects, or entrepreneurial pursuits that demonstrate initiative and innovation.
