Position Summary:
Work independently and with a team to locate and remove in process and raw material to and from workstations in all areas of the plant.

Duties/Responsibilities:
* Responsible for locating and removing in process and raw material to and from workstations and various departments
* Requires issuing and receiving material through computers and handwritten paperwork
* Must be able to operate mobile, mechanical equipment in compliance with OSHA standards
* Drive a stand-up Raymond, tugger, operate a forklift truck, side loader, barrel dollies, and sometimes use an overhead crane
* Operate a skid wrapper machine
* Responsible for completing inventory transactions and maintaining accurate inventories
* Load and unload trucks by forklift or side loader and keep required documentation
* Maintain Kanban board within department
* Ability to train, instruct and assist trainees through the training period
* Use of judgment to plan, perform and make decisions for optimal workflow
* Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies
* Proceed on work assignments with minimum supervision and assistance
* Maintain a high degree of safety and quality
* Must work alone or in a team environment
* Ability to work within high performance team guidelines (HPT)
* Perform safety checklist on equipment regularly
* Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
* Work safely in accordance with regulations, standards, and procedures, and in a manner, that eliminates unreasonable risk to health and the environment
* Notify management of unsafe conditions or practices, unlawful activities and activities which present unreasonable health and/or environmental risk
* Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately
* Prevent excess waste of product and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner
* Work with groups in initiating and implementation of programs such as Lean Manufacturing and
5-S projects

Physical Requirements:
* Able to reach, bend, twist, reach overhead, and operate equipment
* Ability to regularly lift 30 lbs. and occasionally lift to 70 lbs.
* Fumes, dust, oils, outside during hot and cold weather months
* Extended periods of standing/walking for 8 hours per day
* Must be able to work in fluctuating hot and cold work environment
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Able to operate mobile, mechanical equipment in compliance with OSHA standards
* Basic computer skills
* Good verbal and written communication skills

Education and Experience:
* Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
* Complete certification and be issued a forklift and equipment license
