Job Description:

Lead and grow a high-performing, diverse team of Solutions Architects helping customers across Central America accelerate their cloud journey on AWS. You will combine technical depth with people leadership - coaching architects, shaping customer strategies, and driving meaningful business outcomes across one of the most dynamic and fast-growing regions in Latin America.

What you'll do:
- Build and develop talent. Hire, onboard, and coach Solutions Architects - developing their technical skills, customer engagement capabilities, and career growth.
- Drive customer success. Partner with sales to define and execute strategies that accelerate AWS adoption across a diverse customer base, from enterprise to emerging businesses.
- Lead with technical credibility. Contribute to architecture discussions, guide complex solution designs, and represent your team's technical perspective with customers and executives.
- Scale knowledge. Foster a culture of knowledge sharing - whitepapers, best practices, and technical content that multiplies your team's impact across the region.
- Connect the dots. Act as the bridge between customers, AWS service teams, marketing, and professional services to deliver integrated solutions.

What we're looking for:
- Proven experience managing customer-facing technical teams, ideally Solutions Architects or similar roles.
- Strong technical foundation in cloud architecture and large-scale computing solutions, with hands-on experience you keep current.
- A track record of developing people - you take pride in seeing your team grow and succeed.
- Comfort operating in a diverse, multicultural environment; experience with Central America or Caribbean markets is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels - from engineers to C-suite.
- Bias for action, high ownership, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and grow a team of Solutions Architects across Central America, fostering technical excellence and customer impact.
- Partner with sales leadership to develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies that accelerate AWS adoption across enterprise, mid-market, and public sector customers.
- Drive customer engagement at the executive level, translating complex technical architectures into clear business value.
- Hire and develop diverse technical talent, building an inclusive team culture that reflects the communities we serve.
- Champion knowledge sharing across the SA community - best practices, reusable assets, and technical content that scale the team's reach.
- Represent the team's voice in cross-functional forums with service teams, marketing, and professional services.

A day in the life
No two days look the same. You might start with a 1:1 coaching session with an architect preparing for a C-suite presentation, then join a customer workshop on cloud migration strategy, and close the day reviewing a hiring loop or contributing to a regional business review. You operate at the intersection of technology, people, and business - always asking: how do we make our customers and our team better today?
