Your Role
In this role, you will support customer and internal projects through the analysis of natural and synthetic fragrances in market samples using GC and GC/MS. You will be responsible for sample preparation, method development, basic fragrance formulation, and the maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical systems.
* Analyze natural and synthetic fragrances in market samples using GC and GC/MS, including sample preparation and clean-up
* Develop, adapt, and optimize analytical methods
* Create basic fragrance formulae to support perfumer creations
* Maintain, service, and troubleshoot GC and GC/MS systems
* Ensure analytical quality, data integrity, and proper documentation of results
* Provide analytical support to internal customers, manage requests, and meet deadlines
About You
* Completed education as Chemical Laboratory Technician (Chemielaborant/in), CTA, or equivalent scientific/technical qualification
*
Alternatively, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or a related scientific/technical field is also acceptable.
* 5-10 years of hands-on experience in GC analysis, ideally GC/MS
*
Fluent German and English (both mandatory), written and spoken
* Strong practical background in instrumental analysis
* Solid experience with GC/MS systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting
* Confident handling of analytical software (e.g. OpenChrom)
* Good working knowledge of MS Office
