Descripción del puesto:

thyssenkrupp rothe erde is the world's leading manufacturer of large-diameter bearings and one of the largest producers of seamless rolled rings, which are used in a wide range of industries. Every month, more than 6,000 employees process 15,000 tons of steel into customized solutions. In close collaboration with our customers, we develop products that are unique in terms of design, material quality, and performance. Join us in keeping the world turning everywhere.
The Technical Calculation department at the Lippstadt site develops highly specialized calculation methods and software, which are used by the design engineers of our globally positioned business unit for the design of large-diameter bearings. To strengthen this expertise and further expand it in the future, we are looking for a competent and committed working student who will actively contribute to the development of our design processes. Would you like to become part of our interdisciplinary, motivated team?

As a working student (m/f/d), you will support our Technical Calculation department at the earliest possible start date, working 14 hours per week (preferably on two fixed weekdays). In this role, you can expect the following tasks in particular:
* You will familiarize yourself with the existing computational and analytical workflows used to investigate bearing ring creeping in windturbine drivetrain applications.
* You will support the development and refinement of models and evaluation methods to analyze ringcreeping mechanisms, influencing factors, and operational load scenarios.
* You will run parametric and variation studies to identify key drivers of creeping in the drivetrain.
* You will contribute actively to technical discussions, brainstorming sessions, and concept development related to creeping phenomena in the drivetrain.
* You will help validate simulation results against analytical calculations or measurement data.
* You will support the documentation of simulation processes, model descriptions, and results, and assist with additional administrative tasks.

* You are enrolled in a Master's program in mechanical engineering, renewable energy engineering, physics, or a comparable technical field.
* You are looking for a workingstudent position that can transition into or directly support your Master's thesis, preferably in the areas of bearing dynamics, drivetrain analysis, or creeping phenomena.
* You are comfortable designing structured parametric studies and approaching technical problems systematically.
* You have initial experience with simulation or modelling tools (e.g. ANSYS), or you are motivated to learn them quickly.
* You have basic programming knowledge (preferably MATLAB) and enjoy applying it to engineering problems.
* You work independently, analytically, and in a structured manner.
* You are motivated to present your results clearly, both in written form and in discussions with the team.
* Businessfluent German and very good English language skills complete your profile.

* Flexible working hours through a flexitime system
* Attractive remuneration including special payments
* Long-term collaboration intended (ideally at least 1 year)
* Responsible tasks to support your individual professional development
* Highest standards for occupational safety and health
* Subsidised canteen and free water dispensers
* Excellent public transport connections
