Enterprise Process Lead - ESG (Environment, Social & Governance)
Location: Lisbon

The Axial Programme (Global S/4HANA implementation)

The Axial Programme will be powered by S/4HANA a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system which will be implemented right across the organisation and will provide our business with standardised processes, enhanced financial management, common data and real time reporting, transforming the way we work through our entire supply chain - from bench to patient.
The new system will be used by more than 20,000 employees daily, is foundational to all AZ entities and is central to most core business processes. This is a once in a generation programme for (COMPANY NAME) and will shape our ways of working globally for many years to come.

Within Axial, we have an opportunity to transform our capability around ESG, including enabling business decision making and compliance reporting, through fundamental redesign of core processes and data. The Axial ESG Process Enterprise Lead role is responsible for leading on certain business and regulatory requirements, driving thought leadership and proactively engaging where needed to ensure that the design meets business requirements, aligns to SAP standard where possible and improves the opportunity for ESG in Axial.

Typical Accountabilities:
* Lead and direct the prioritisation of ESG work as related to designated Enterprise Process areas (for example, Procurement, Manufacturing, Distribution etc), managing reporting on progress to relevant partners
* Lead the definition, documentation and implementation of S/4 Enterprise design related to given process areas - setting the business context and ensuring approval in accordance with defined program governance. To include the development of detailed proposals, conceptual models, business briefings and partner management
* Apply domain expertise to lead thinking and act as an integral part of the ESG and wider design teams, considering business process, analytics and other requirements on a prioritised basis
* Own relationship with current business SME capability to ensure that S/4 design and the wider enterprise direction remain aligned
* Define the change journey from current to future state design including completion of change impact assessments, outline of critical use case examples and due consideration to interim state
* Monitor and devise Axial responses to changing regulatory landscape and business focus areas
* Devise approach and deliver execution of Axial data design to enable future compliance and reporting outcomes in ESG ensuring close liaison with Axial Data and Analytics teams and business SMEs
* Ensure delivery of controls and compliance framework around ESG data, metrics reporting and process execution through close liaison with business and Axial SMEs
* Drive technology requirements in collaboration with business and Axial specialists to ensure solution is robust, comprehensive and flexible to future change
* Collaborate with project management teams to maintain alignment and efficiency of delivery
* Contribute to the ongoing development of an S/4 ESG Strategy and Roadmap, collaborating with business teams, Axial Data & Analytics leadership team and wider project delivery engine.

Essential Skills
* Significant experience and expertise in ESG strategy or compliance and reporting
* Demonstrable domain knowledge of ESG requirements and the changing landscape, including the ability to explain sophisticated concepts to non-technical colleagues
* Experience of designing and implementing process change to enable business decision making in ESG disciplines
* Demonstrable SAP working knowledge across transactions and reporting in an SAP environment, including an understanding of how data and process integrate within an SAP architecture
* Experience of Business/IT partnering for the implementation of global transformation solutions
* Demonstrable ability to lead in a diverse, global team, within and across functions. Experience with global working and across cultures
* Good communication skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives
* Ability to lead and manage negotiations across a complex group, to a target outcome
* Consistent track record of delivery and ability to effectively prioritise to ensure goals and outcomes are achieved
* Demonstrated project leadership skills
