Job Description:
Are you a young graduate with global ambitions eager to develop your leadership potential?
ING offers you the chance to make the absolute most of your talent on a traineeship within the bank: the International Talent Programme (ITP). During the traineeship ING will invest in your future now to develop the leaders of tomorrow.
At the beginning of your traineeship you'll rotate between different projects and departments within your track. After your rotations, you get to choose your long term position based on your experience and area of interest.

The position is ideal for someone interested in:
This role is focused on managing the sourcing and governance of technology suppliers supporting the ING IT landscape.
The successful candidate will work across the entire supplier lifecycle, from supporting supplier selection and competitive tenders (RFI/RFP), to managing vendor relationships, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring contractual commitments are effectively governed.
The role combines commercial, contractual and stakeholder management activities, requiring close collaboration with Technology and Procurement. The individual will contribute to sourcing decisions, supplier governance processes and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at maximizing value, managing risk and supporting business objectives.
the role involves:

* Managing and supporting IT sourcing initiatives and tender processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP).
* Interacting with technology suppliers and outsourcing suppliers.
* Producing analyses, dashboards and reports to support sourcing and vendor management decisions.
* Coordinating with internal stakeholders to address supplier-related topics, risks and improvement opportunities

Main Activities and Responsibilities

IT Sourcing & Tender Management
* Support and manage IT sourcing initiatives, including Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and Requests for Proposal (RFP).
* Collect business requirements from stakeholders and support market analysis activities.
* Evaluate supplier proposals through cost, commercial and qualitative assessments.
* Participate in commercial negotiations and supplier selection processes. (tenders)
* Support contract award activities and supplier onboarding.

Contract Management
* Review IT contracts and contractual documentation together with Procurement.
* Verify alignment between sourcing documentation and ING sourcing strategy.
* Support the management of contract renewals, amendments and vendor commitments.
* Identify risks, opportunities and improvement areas within existing contractual agreements.

Reporting & Analysis
* Produce supplier performance reports and management dashboards.
* Analyze sourcing and vendor management data to identify optimization opportunities.
* Support total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses and sourcing decision-making processes.
* Define and monitor supplier quality and performance metrics.

The Strategy and Tech Sourcing Specialist supports the management of third-party suppliers and sourcing initiatives across IT services. The role works closely with Tech Teams and Procurement to ensure effective strategy supplier selection, contract management and vendor governance activities.

This Sourcing role is a stepping stone to more senior roles within the sourcing department. It provides an opportunity to learn about the company's sourcing processes and strategies, and to develop skills in supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, and risk management. As a junior role, it often involves learning from and supporting more experienced team members.

With these new experiences and contacts, you are in charge to arrange your second rotation. Now it comes down to addressing your network and taking the initiative, also for an international experience that could be relevant for your personal and professional development.
Your second year
After two rotations, you now have a better understanding of which direction you would like to go and are ready to choose your third rotation. Are you broadening your knowledge within your track, or would you like to explore an area within another track? Both are an option for this rotation!
During your third rotation you will set the stage for your fixed position, or in another position of your interest among the available opportunities within ING.

Global events. Access to yearly 2-3 weeks global events with other ING International Talent Programme talents from all around the world.
Job rotations. Insights in various business units during the first 18 months and work abroad into one of our ING countries for 3 - 6 months. (if circumstances allow)
International onboarding. Following your local onboarding introduction, you will fly to our headquarters in Amsterdam for a two week-long international onboarding event. (if circumstances allow)
Trainings & learning experiences in different business lines to boost your knowledge and skill set.
Mentoring. Experienced ING executives will support your personal and professional development through regular feedback and coaching.

Contract offer:
Working conditions: Permanent employment contract
Working hours: Full time (37 hours per week)
Applicable Collective Labour Agreement: National Collective Labour Agreement for employees in the credit sector (NCLA)
Location: Milan
Annual base salary: 35.685EUR
Variable remuneration: in line with the applicable remuneration policies (with a target based on the role, outcomes linked to the Group, Business line/function, and individual performance)
